What to see
Las Leñas
Las Leñas is one of the most important ski resorts in Argentina, with 30 ski runs with different levels of difficulty. For those people who do not ski and just want to spend the day in the snow, there are several activities they can do in the Aventura Park, such as snow tubing, renting sledges, walking with snowshoes and taking ski classes for beginners. The park has a food court.
Before reaching Las Leñas, along Provincial Route 222, you will find other attractions, such as the Los Molles Hot Springs, the Niña Encantada Lake and the Pozo de las Ánimas.
Valle Hermoso
In summer, departing from Las Leñas, drive 25 km along the gravel road to reach Valle Hermoso, a wide high-elevation mountain with small lakes of blue waters surrounded by mountains. There, you will find the Valle Hermoso Lake (the largest one), the viewpoint on the Centinela Mountain, the natural pools of thermal waters and the Larga Lake (a great place to watch birds and see petroglyphs in the surrounding areas).
Adventure
In Valle Hermoso, there are trekking activities of different difficulty levels, you can also go biking, climbing, or rent boats, kayaks, canoes and windsurf boards. This is also the starting point of one of the Sanmartinian Routes (lasting between 6 or 7 days), a great experience combining nature and history.
