Termas de Río Hondo is not a hot springs centre. The whole city sits on fourteen layers from which healing waters emerge continuously.

Hot spring baths can be enjoyed at the different centres located in the city, and at hotels and spas that also offer mud baths, massages and beauty treatments. Many of these places have swimming pools and outdoor spas, and offer recreational activities for all ages.

History and culture

The city also invites you to learn about the history and culture of the region through its local craft artisans, who make ecological basketry from plant fibres using ancient techniques.

Termas de Río Hondo is located 73 km from the city of Santiago del Estero via National Route 9.

Both the city of Santiago del Estero and Termas de Río Hondo have airports. There are also buses with different frequencies from several parts of the country.
