Los Arrayanes National Park

Neuquén

In this small park, located close to Villa La Angostura, you will discover a unique landscape: the famous myrtle forest. The myrtle's cinnamon-colored bark and twisted trunk create a forest of spectacular beauty and a dreamy landscape turning it into a real enchanted forest.

You can visit all year round. From May through September, there may be time limitations and a reduction of activities. Recommended for family trips. Park entry fees apply.

What to see
On foot

The park covers the Quetrihué Peninsula on the shore of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. There is a 12-kilometre main trail stretching from the beginning of the park to the southern end, where the myrtle forest grows denser. On the way, you will come across the viewpoints of Mansa and Brava Bays, the branch of the lake and the access to Patagua Lake.

By bike

Apart from hiking, visitors often explore this trail by bike. It is a great place to enjoy a day out.

How to get there and move around

You can reach the park on foot or by bike from Villa La Angostura. There are also boat navigation tours departing from Villa La Angostura or Bariloche.

Where to stay

The park has no services or camping site. There is good accommodation and cuisine offer in Villa La Angostura. Bariloche is less than 90 km away and it offers a wide variety of accommodation options.
