Los Tres Valles (RP 222)
Mendoza
After 73 kilometres you will reach the Andes Mountain Range. The road starts smoothly, with a few curves and the mountains to the sides, protecting the road here and there, near and far. As you start gaining height, there are stopovers to rest and enjoy the view: The Salado river canyon, the Niña Encantada lake, Los Molles and Pozo de las Ánimas.
Keep driving up until reaching the Las Leñas ski centre. At this point, the gravel road begins and it becomes winding; you can start feeling the soul of the Andes. A viewpoint located 2800 MSL awaits you to have a good stretch and enjoy the view which stretches as far as the edge of the mountains. The landscape is as colourful as a painter's palette, you will see orange, ochre, purple, green and blue. The road winds down to a vast valley with a small lake that will leave you speechless. You have arrived at your destination: the hidden paradise of Valle Hermoso.
