Cumbres de Achala (RP 34)
Córdoba
Lower the window and open your eyes wide because the landscape will dazzle you: you are on one of the most incredible routes in Córdoba, also known as the Altas Cumbres road.
This route begins in the town of Falda del Cañete, 37 km away from Córdoba Capital City. Surrounded by hills, canyons and high mountains, it goes up 2,200 metres and offers magnificent views of the region’s lakes, mountains and an immense valley. After taking a few curves, you will find the gateway to El Condorito National Park, which is home to the Andean condor, the largest species of flying birds in the world. Get out of the car or off the bus and visit the park as watching them fly is a unique experience. The road continues and you can stop at any of the inns along it to try regional products. Once at the foot of the mountains you will reach Mina Clavero: its beaches and bathing resorts are the best way to end a route as scenic as this one.
