Mendoza High Andes (National Route 7)
Mendoza
This 60-kilometre stretch of National Route 7 is one of the most fascinating roads in the Province of Mendoza because it winds its way into the heart of the Andes Mountains. It goes through tunnels that border the immense walls of the highest mountains of this continent that in winter are covered with snow, and the rest of the year they dazzle with their shades of ochre.
You will reach the roof of America, the Aconcagua, almost 7000 metres above sea level, and you will be able to contemplate it from the viewpoint of Los Horcones lagoon. You will also reach a unique geological formation: the Puente del Inca, a natural bridge with impressive colours of volcanic origin over the Cuevas River. A scenic tour that you won't forget in the high mountains of Mendoza.
