Río de las Vueltas (RP 41)

Santa Cruz

Beginning at El Chaltén, a town that lies at the foot of a mountain, this route runs parallel to De Las Vueltas River and through a valley covered by ancient lenga beech and ñire forests and traversed by streams, waterfalls, meltwater rivers, eternal snow and hanging glaciers.

This route approaches and moves away from the mountain that will mesmerise you throughout the trip: the Fitz Roy or Chaltén. You will have the chance to view it from the front and from the side when you reach the southern tip of Del Desierto Lake and sail its turquoise waters. A spellbinding landscape that becomes greener with each kilometre travelled.
