Quebrada de las Flechas (RN 40)
Salta
In the province of Salta, 80 km from Cafayate and only 2 km from Angastaco, Route 40 crosses the Angastaco Natural Monument and passes through the heart of the Calchaquí Valleys between gigantic and inclined rocks like arrows that protrude from the earth.
The floor blends in with the landscape that changes color depending on the time and the light of the day. At each curve you will discover gorges and vertical walls surrounded by mountains. Everything is surreal and prehistoric: you will be in front of formations that are 20 million years old. Along the route there are also viewpoints to contemplate the ravine, its white carob trees and jarillas, and El Ventisquero, to surprise you from above with a panoramic view that will make you believe that you are literally on another planet.
