Salta
A route in the province of Salta that goes from the green valleys of the Yungas to the bare slopes of the Puna. That starts at 1,500 meters high and reaches 4,000. Where you will come across vicuñas and cardons and with mountains that are there and here and everywhere. That goes up the Quebrada del Toro and runs parallel to the route of the famous Train to the Clouds. That has on the horizon the immense snow-capped peaks of Chañi and Acay.
Along the route there are small towns and places such as Ingeniero Maury with its picturesque railway station, and pre-Hispanic archaeological sites such as Tastil and Incahuasi where part of the Qhapaq Ñan Inca trail is located.
On this scenic route of just over 100 km, you will be able to hear the silent heartbeat of the high mountains of Salta.
